Resurfacing

Asphalt Milling & Resurfacing

Mill and overlay is often the best value in commercial asphalt work. Grinding off the top inch or two of failed surface, then placing a fresh asphalt lift on the retained base, gives you a like-new surface at a fraction of the cost of a full rebuild.

When milling and overlay is the right call

It works when your base is still sound but the surface has failed. If cores show the base is compromised, an overlay just cracks in the same places within a few seasons. We take samples before we quote so the recommendation is honest.

The milling and resurfacing process

  • Core samples to confirm base condition
  • Mill 1 to 2 inches from the existing surface
  • Sweep and tack coat the milled base
  • Adjust drainage structures and utility covers
  • Place new hot-mix asphalt lift and compact
  • Restripe, remark, and re-seal joints

Why property owners choose it

Faster than a full rebuild. Cheaper than a full rebuild. Restores appearance, drainage, and ride quality. Keeps the site operational during the work.
